A Lamb in the House

We read John Chapter 1 at our family breakfast devotional this morning and my wife reminded us of something she had heard.

It was customary for the people of God to bring the sacrificial lamb into the home to live for several days before it was presented to the priest as the perfect sacrifice. At that point it was the lamb that was judged, not the family.

Wow.

Put those two thoughts together.

Jesus, the Lamb of God, is One with Whom we are permitted to become familiar. He was judged, found perfect, and then was sacrificed in our place.

Q4U: What do you suppose we can do with our lives, in recognition of such grace?
