What Does Scott Brown Have to Do with You?

It's an unusual blog title for me but, no matter what your political views, you can't escape the drama of this recent event.

It's newsy because it effects so many people and carries the David/Goliath underdog element.  But what if it effected less people?  How would that be different to Scott?  Or you?  I'm getting to my point...

What difference would it make to Scott Brown if very few people were affected by this event?  If it was a small blip on the screen of so much other activity surrounding us?

To Scott Brown, it would be just as dramatic.  National event or not, he and his family are facing tremendous change.  They will be shopping for a house in a different city, meeting new people, adjusting their daily routines, encountering new stresses, and more.  Many things will feel different to them.  This gets lost in the story.

On this level, Scott Brown's story is not much different than ours.

I don't know of Scott's religious views, but when we accept God's right to move sovereignly in our lives, we can expect change.  And, although we may not become a US Senator, we may face a move to a different city, new people, new routines, and new stresses.  And OUR story is just as dramatic.

Thank God for the Holy Spirit, the Comforter and Guide, as we encounter and rest in the changes we face as Partners with God in Big Kingdom Business.

Q4U:  When have you sensed the Presence of God in a dramatic change of your circumstances?
